The first Advance Farming Techniques Training for animal husbandry farmers in Agjabadi


The first Advance Farming Techniques Training for animal husbandry farmers within the framework Azerbaijan Agricultural Finance Facility – AZAFF has been organized in Agjabadi region on July 16, 2016.


The first Advance Farming Techniques Training for animal husbandry farmers within the framework Azerbaijan Agricultural Finance Facility – AZAFF has been organized in Agjabadi region on July 16, 2016 in cooperation with AzRIP project which is established and funded by the Government of Azerbaijan and World Bank and implemented by the State Agency on Agricultural Credits.

Training has taken place in the village of Tezekend in Agjabadi region. Experienced International Agronomist in this field- Mr. Christian Gueneau and AZAFF local experts Mr. Fagan Aghayev and Mr. Ilgar Taghiyev have been appointed as trainers for this training.

Training have started at 9.45 a.m. and 13 farmers were participated in the training. Participants were requested to answer some specific questions during registration process, which would enable the AZAFF team to assess the level of farms, number of available animals and additional production areas available under different crops.

The Business advisor of AzRIP project, Mr. Vugar Mohumayev delivered opening speech expressing his gratitude to the Ministry of Agriculture, the EU and the EBRD for organization of this successful event and passed the floor to AZAFF team.AZAFF expert Mr. Ilgar Taghiyev greeted all the participants and gave brief introduction about purpose of the training and AZAFF program. Then AZAFF experts Mr. Christian Gueneau and Mr. Fagan Aghayev delivered training in an interactive atmosphere. It has started with explanation of milk production, hygiene standards and requirements, importance of health and was completed with brief information on the importance of feeding.

Following in the indoor training session, AZAFF experts together with the training participants have visited MoA milk collection points where discussion continued.

At the end of the day all the participants were requested to provide feedback on potential topics for the next training. Majority of the attendees have asked to organize a session on “feeding and preparation of feed ratios”. AZAFF team will be design the next training session in the line with the feedback of participants.
