Third and forth Advance Farming Techniques trainings on animal husbandry were conducted in Barda and Agjabadi


The next two Advance Farming Techniques trainings within the framework Azerbaijan Agricultural Finance Facility – AZAFF on animal husbandry were organized in the villages of Barda and Agjabadi on September 23, 2016.


The next two Advance Farming Techniques trainings within the framework Azerbaijan Agricultural Finance Facility – AZAFF on animal husbandry were organized in the villages of Barda and Agjabadi on September 23, 2016. These trainings were conducted in corporation with AZRIP project which was established and funded by the Government of Azerbaijan and World Bank and implemented by the State Agency on Agricultural Credits under the Ministry of Agriculture of Azerbaijan Republic.

Experienced International Agronomist Mr. Christian Gueneau and AZAFF local senior agronomist Mr. Fagan Aghayev have been appointed as trainers for these trainings. The first training has taken place in Kolayir, a small village of Barda region, on September 23, 2016 at around 9.45 a.m., while the second training conducted in Tazakand, village of Agjabedi region at around 01.45 p.m. Number of participants was 15 and 10 in Barda and Agjabadi, respectively. During the registration process participants were requested to answer some specific questions, which could give information to the experts about farming scale of the attendees and adjust the trainings accordingly.

In both trainings the Business advisor of AzRIP project, Mr. Vugar Mohumayev delivered opening speech expressing his gratitude to the Ministry of Agriculture, the EU and the EBRD for organization of this successful event and passed the floor to AZAFF team.

Then AZAFF experts Mr. Christian Gueneau and Mr. Fagan Aghayev delivered training in an interactive atmosphere. They started the training with explanation of milk production, hygiene standards and requirements, importance of health and was completed with brief information on the importance of feeding in Barda, while they talked quality and importance of feed and feeding, basic calculations of feed rations in Agjabadi.

At the end of trainings, farmers asked questions and discussed their problems and received handouts that summarize the training contents.
